All processes, from kneading the clay to shaping, bisque firing, glazing, and final firing, are done entirely by hand in my home studio, which is equipped with a small electric kiln and a potter's wheel. The plump, rounded form, the rustic texture, and the slight weight in your hand all contribute to its authentic ceramic charm. While mass production isn't possible, each piece has its own unique character, offering the subtle beauty that comes from being handmade. The item you receive will be the same as pictured. The contact surface will be polished with sandpaper to minimize the risk of scratching your table. To prevent this, we apply a water-repellent treatment to all tableware before shipping, so a separate initial sealing process (目止め - 'me-dome') is not necessary. This treatment requires 2-3 days, hence our shipping time of 5 days from order placement.
