The Secret Behind the Senko Hanabi Earrings' Glow The intensity and duration of the glow depend on the amount of UV light absorbed. These accessories will glow brighter and longer when exposed to more UV light—meaning they'll shine more brilliantly on a sunny day than a cloudy one, and more outdoors than indoors. How Long Do They Glow? When sufficiently charged with UV light, they can glow for about an hour. For example, if exposed outdoors from 9 AM to 10 AM in the summer, they were still glowing at 11 AM.
