NUNO FELT is a contemporary fiber art technique that combines wool with lightweight fabrics, typically silk. The term "NUNO" in its name comes from Japanese, meaning "fabric." Thus, NUNO FELT can be directly translated as "fabric felt," yet it transcends its literal meaning. Pieces created with this technique possess a visually light and soft texture. Patterns and designs naturally evolve with the fabric's folds and flow, as if art and material are dancing together. In terms of touch, the creations exude warmth and softness, blending the fluidity of fabric with the substance of felt. During creation, NUNO is akin to preparing a delicate dish; by altering the ratio of any material element, the visual layers and tactile feel of the textile can undergo wonderful transformations. The release of excess pigment is normal. * As the material is natural animal fiber, avoid using bleach. * Color fading after multiple washes is a natural phenomenon. * After washing, hang to air dry or use an indoor dehumidifier.
