They refer to themselves as a "stamp carving professional" and currently reside in Taiwan, working diligently from a cozy apartment in Taipei. Previously, Xammy worked as an editor for magazines and books at a publishing house and now focuses exclusively on stamp design. Each season, they release handmade, original stamp creations. Their collected works span volumes 1 to 8, featuring over 100 stamps. Published books include "A Handmade Life in 12 Hours a Week," "Eraser Stamps, Open the Door!" and "12 Lessons for Beginner Eraser Stamp Carvers: Next Stamp Class." Utilizing eraser as the primary material, each stamp is meticulously carved, one stroke at a time. Xammy's stamp designs often draw inspiration from everyday discoveries, landscapes and encounters from travels, and cherished interests (including text, botanicals, geometry, nature, architecture, and more). These elements are then deconstructed and reassembled, employing layered lines, intersecting points, minimalist primary and secondary lines, English text, and personal symbols to construct the stamp imagery. Xammy enjoys combining stamps and colors, exploring the unique expression, collaboration, and repetition of various stamp sizes. Many graphic designs are also derived from fragments of stamp designs, extended through stamping techniques into pieces like postcards and washi tape.
