By chance, I met a fellow enthusiast who brought this old timber to be carved. The bark-covered burl wood that was planed off kept calling to me. I thought, "How precious! It mustn't be wasted!" So, I boldly asked for a few pieces. Back home, I carefully cleaned off the fine sand, soil, and mud from the wood. Then, I meticulously sanded it.
