This is a very simple skirt, made with a different expression front and back using tucks and gathers. The entire skirt features stitching, and the hem is left raw for a relaxed style. It is also recommended to wear it with boots during the colder months. The front features large tucks, which keep the silhouette from spreading too much, creating a sleek look. The back, with its gathers, provides ample room around the hip line, offering a comfortable fit that moves with you. I personally love mermaid-line maxi-length designs, but when I started drafting the pattern, I realized it wasn't quite what I wanted to wear right now. I finished it simply by wrapping a cylindrical piece of cloth around the body, adjusting the amount of fabric as I went. While the volume is controlled by the tucks, the hem flares out like a mermaid line when the wind blows, which is a key feature. It's not constricting, but not too loose either. It has become a silhouette I truly love. The waist fastens with snap buttons. You can adjust the fit to your own waist size by gathering the fabric at the back gathers. Tying the sash in the center or shifting it to the side are also recommended ways to wear it. .......................................
