1973 Born in Fangyuan Township, Changhua County
1988 Began studying jade carving techniques in Taipei
1993 Pursued Advertising Design in vocational high school, integrating design concepts into his work
1994 Established his own studio
2000 Awarded "Excellence" in the Craft category at the 14th Nan Ying Art Exhibition for his work "Waiting for the Opportunity"
August Participated in a joint jade exhibition at the Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall
2001 Invited to the Hualien International Arts Festival for live carving in the local creation zone
2002 Selected for the "Dream of Craftsmanship" award at the 10th Taiwan Craft Design Competition. January: Joint jade exhibition at the Hsinchu County Cultural Affairs Bureau.
May: Joint exhibition of Luoxi stone inkstones and jade carvings at the Changhua County "Flower and Tree Carnival."
October-December: Invited by the Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Foundation and Hualien Cultural Affairs Bureau for the "Stone Grand View Garden" exhibition, touring department stores in northern, central, and southern Taiwan.
2003 Invited by the National Taiwan Craft Research Institute to exhibit works such as "Lotus Ecological Charm" at the Presidential Office's "Taitung Local Crafts Exhibition."
2004 March-June: Featured in the National Education Radio program "Arts and Culture Corridor - Xie Zhong-Ren Jade Carving Exhibition."
Selected for the "Dream of Craftsmanship" award at the 12th Taiwan Craft Design Competition.
October 2004 - January 2005: Solo exhibition at the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall.
2005 Invited by the National Taiwan Museum to exhibit his work "Taiwanese Snacks - Braised Pork Rice."
June-September: Participated in the "Sherlock Holmes Exhibition" with the National Museum of the Czech Republic, displaying works related to the theme.
Established the "Yu Ning Shi" brand and opened a counter in department stores.
Mid-December: Exhibited at the Pacific Sogo Department Store's "Craftsmanship Masters" exhibition.
2007 Invited to participate in the "Craftsmanship Up Close - Applied Crafts for Daily Life" exhibition hosted by the National Taiwan Craft Research Institute at the Executive Yuan Gallery.
2008 His work "Japanese-style Sushi" was selected for the "Taiwan Craft Competition" by the National Taiwan Craft Research Institute.
2012 Received an "Honorable Mention" in the Traditional Craft category at the Ministry of Culture and National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute's "Taiwan Craft Competition" for his work "Half Thought." Awarded an "Honorable Mention" in the Craft category at the 21st Tainan City "Nan Ying Award" for his work "Tranquil Mountains and Waters."
2013 Exhibited at the Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall's "Cross-Strait Jade Carving Exchange Masters Gathering," invited to showcase in the Taiwanese Jade Master Zone.
2016 Invited by the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute to exhibit at the Presidential Office Gallery as part of the "Gathering Around the Stove - Sustainable Craft Exhibition," showcasing three works: "Japanese-style Sushi," "Handmade Mochi," and "Moment of Leap."
2017 His work "Remnants of Lotus in Spring" received an "Excellence" award at the Taoyuan City Taoyuan Art Exhibition.
2018 Held his solo exhibition "Xie Zhong-Ren Jade Carving 30 Years - The Continuation of Culture" at the Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall.
2019 January-June: Invited by the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute to exhibit his work "Auspicious Dragon Presents Blessings" at the Presidential Office Gallery's "Feast · Happiness" exhibition.
2020 Participated in the "Joyful Heart, Shining Art - Taiwan Craft Development Association Boutique Exhibition," held jointly at the Hsinchu County Cultural Affairs Bureau (July 29 - August 16) and the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute's Taipei Contemporary Craft Design Branch (October 6, 2020 - February 28, 2021).
2021 October-November: Exhibited his work "Japanese-style Sushi" at the "Creative Regeneration Green Crafts" exhibition hosted by the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute.
His work "Handmade Mochi" was selected for the 2021 Taiwan Craft Competition and toured various locations, including the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute's Taipei Contemporary Craft Design Branch, Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Xinyi Store, Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Tainan Ximen Store, and Taichung Store.
