Horseshoes have long been known in the West as talismans to protect horseshoes, and there is a custom of displaying them in homes. Because of its U-shape, it is said to "receive and store happiness," and is loved as a lucky charm that brings good fortune. Made from tanned leather that changes over time and with a design that can be used regardless of fashion or occasion, this bag would make a great gift to celebrate a special occasion. In fact, even if a product is labeled as "genuine leather," the price varies greatly. Why does this make such a difference? Here are some reasons why: There are two main methods for manufacturing leather: chrome tanning and vegetable tanning. In other words, chrome-tanned leather is a material suited to mass production, and is at its most beautiful when finished. On the other hand, leather that is tanned using vegetable tannins is called "Nume leather." It takes a long time to finish, so it is expensive and it cannot be said to be a stable material, but it is a leather that you can enjoy the changes that occur over time, such as the change in luster that occurs with long-term use and the deepening of the color. "Nubuck leather is made using a traditional method, which takes time and money, but it is not perfect when you hold it in your hands; rather, it is a leather that you grow to love more and more over time." What people look for in leather is probably a material that will last a long time. "If you are going to buy a leather product, choose leather that will change over time with use." With this in mind, KALEIDOSCOPE's products are produced with a focus on "tanned leather." We try to avoid major scratches, but please be aware that some minor scratches may occur. The grain and uneven scratches will vary from piece to piece. Although it may seem like a scratch, this is proof that the leather was alive; it is a unique pattern. I think that being able to enjoy the scratches and unevenness of a product as something that is "your own" is something that is unique to handmade products and made from genuine tanned leather. *We try to photograph and adjust the colors as faithfully as possible to the actual texture of the product, but there may be some color differences between the actual product and the images depending on your computer environment.
