→ Soda Firing
Soda firing is a high-temperature ceramic firing technique where soda ash is introduced into a kiln at high temperatures. It vaporizes and reacts chemically with the clay components of the ceramic body, creating a unique and varied glassy glaze effect on the surface of the piece. Soda firing can produce a rich array of glaze finishes, such as orange peel textures, shimmering, smooth, and even crackled effects. Each piece possesses a unique beauty due to the kiln's atmosphere and the random distribution of soda.
This soda firing was done by Yun Sen Tao Tao Studio in Yangmingshan. If you're interested in the soda firing technique, feel free to follow Yun Sen Tao Tao Studio!
→ Product Description
This vessel is crafted using ancient, traditional hand-pinching techniques, without any large machinery. Various hand-shaping tools are used to complete the process, making it a very time-consuming and labor-intensive method.
As the vessel is entirely hand-pinched, the rough texture of the clay is intentionally preserved on the surface, perfectly embodying the tactile quality of hand-pinched pottery.

*Most products in this design館 are purely handmade, and the glaze or ash deposit on each piece varies. This is the charm of ceramic art. Therefore, once a piece is sold out, it will not be restocked, and you won't find an identical piece. If a piece you like is purchased by someone else, we apologize, but you will need to choose another piece from our design館. Please forgive us! Alternatively, you can contact the designer to see if a similar piece is available.
*Capacity and dimensions are measured by hand and may have slight errors.
*The work may show some marks from the crafting process, as all pieces are handmade or semi-handmade. These are normal operational marks.
*During the firing process, the glaze may exhibit natural variations in distribution, which is entirely normal and characteristic of natural glazes. Ceramics are inherently natural. If you have any questions about the product, please send us a private message.
*The product was photographed in a studio with adjusted lighting and environment, but no post-production editing was used. Please refer to the actual product color, as variations will not be considered defects.
