The inlaid technique is inspired by early church mosaic glass, later refined by Italian artists. It utilizes the properties of copper and tin to combine glass in various forms. Yi Erh Studio's Crafting Process: After cutting the glass, copper foil is applied to all four sides, followed by a layer of tin. The tin solder fuses the pieces, creating a sturdy vessel. Each joint is meticulously filled and smoothed drop by drop. An oxidizing agent is then used to accelerate the tin's oxidation, turning the edges black and giving the piece a dimensional, textured feel.
