Embroidered patches are often referred to as fabric patches, iron-on patches, or embroidered emblems. However, most fabric patches require ironing to adhere them, typically to fabric materials or to mend holes in clothing. Our embroidered patches feature an adhesive backing that is sticky without ironing, allowing them to be applied to smooth, non-fabric surfaces. They are ideal as stickers for water bottles, phone cases, laptops, notebooks, pencil cases, helmets, luggage, and more! Let's create something unique with these patches! 🏷 How do I use the embroidered patches? Using our embroidered patches is simple: ▪️ Smooth, non-fabric surfaces: Peel off the backing and stick. No ironing is needed, and they stay put! ▪️ Fabric surfaces: Preheat your iron to 150°C (300°F). Place a pressing cloth over the patch to protect the embroidery thread from high heat, and iron for 20-25 seconds. Allow it to cool completely for a secure bond. For extra durability, reinforce with needle and thread. If you don't have an iron, sewing by machine or hand will also ensure a firm attachment to fabric. 🏷 What if I can't iron or am unsure about ironing the fabric? For materials that cannot be ironed (e.g., down jackets, nylon, leather, waterproof fabrics) or if you're unsure about ironing, we recommend securing the patch with a sewing machine or by hand. This avoids potential damage to your fabric from high heat. 🏷 How strong is the adhesive? Will it peel off easily? Our embroidered patches have a strong adhesive backing. They are unlikely to peel off from general smooth, non-fabric surfaces. If applying to fabric (like clothes, pants, hats, etc.), ironing and sewing for reinforcement will significantly increase their durability. 🏷 Will the embroidered patches come off if washed? Once ironed and reinforced with sewing, the embroidered patches can be machine washed without easily coming off. We suggest washing them inside out in a laundry bag for best results. 🏷 Can embroidered patches be repositioned? The adhesive backing on our embroidered patches is designed for single use and cannot be repositioned. We recommend deciding on the placement before applying. If you peel it off, the fabric patch itself can still be sewn onto fabric for decoration. 🏷 Will there be residue after removing the embroidered patch? The strong adhesive may leave some residue upon removal. This residue can be cleaned with a sticker remover or adhesive remover. Please test the remover on an inconspicuous area first to ensure it doesn't damage your item's surface. Do not use a hairdryer to remove residue, as the adhesive can melt with heat, becoming stickier and harder to remove.
