These earrings feature deadstock bells, ethnic bells, and deep red White Heart beads.
The bells are deadstock items, sourced from Lhasa, Tibet.
It's believed they may have originated from China, or perhaps were made in Tibet for the Chinese market.
You can see a tiger's face with the character "王" (King) and the character "福" (Fortune) at the top.
While modern versions exist, these are old pieces, and their wear gives them a wonderful, atmospheric quality.
They produce a delightful, gentle chiming sound.
*Please note that there is some rust visible inside and on the surface.
(Bell size: 1.6cm height, 1.3cm width, 1cm depth, including metal fittings)
The smaller bells are components from the Kuchi tribe of Afghanistan, likely from decorative items, and are also vintage.
Occasionally, the bells might shift to the back; gently adjust them back into place.
The red beads are antique beads known as White Hearts, named for their white core. These are Venetian beads from around the 19th-20th century. We've paired them with a deep red hue.
These earrings offer an ethnic feel and a pleasant sound.
