In the salon concert "Dessert Party," we performed the third movement of "Chocolate of Love" by Japanese composer Yasuyuki Ito— a recorder piece that, from its very name, evokes the aroma of cocoa and the feeling of romance. The melody intertwines between two recorders, soft and sweet like lovers' whispers, with a gentle flutter of excitement. The middle section unfolds like a story being told, while the fast passages mirror those moments when a racing heart quickens during love. Most unexpectedly— the most "romantic" interpretation during rehearsal came from the sole male flutist. His warm, rich tone was like a cup of hot cocoa offered late at night, stirring unexpected feelings of affection. This is more than just a piece of music, it's like a musical dessert, inviting you to close your eyes and return to the softest, sweetest moment of your life. 🌿 Scent Story The fragrance gently opens with "green," "herbal," and "honeysuckle," like stepping into a dewy meadow at dawn, the air fresh, clean, and filled with a girlish, pink anticipation. It's like the first page of a story, sweetness subtly brewing with every breath.
