This is an SDGs jewelry piece featuring kintsugi, upcycled from Arita Ware. We reuse pottery that is cracked, chipped, or no longer in use, and after applying kintsugi, we transform them into accessories. Our concept is to create modern accessories that connect to the future, allowing people to feel close to nature and Japan's enduring traditions, by giving new life and possibilities to these materials. We've combined two elegant green pottery fragments with a subtle leaf pattern and turquoise. Kintsugi is applied to the sides of the pottery fragments, allowing the gold to shine even from the side, adding a touch of sophistication. The included chain is an allergy-friendly surgical stainless steel chain with 18K gold plating, making it resistant to tarnishing and gentle on the skin. The chain length is 40cm + 5cm adjuster. This work uses a modern, simplified kintsugi technique. Unlike traditional urushi lacquer made from tree sap, we use new urushi, which is less likely to cause skin irritation, and gold powder (brass powder).
