Grid-Crawling Artisan | Handmade Book

Author: Tian Lan In the past, writing on manuscript paper was called "crawling the grid." The author interviewed her mother, an editor, and emulated her method of writing on manuscript paper to document her mother's work. Every family has its own stories, and perhaps only those involved would consider them special. Accustomed to the busy lives of her parents, who worked in the media, she developed a habit of observing from the side, supplemented by flights of fancy. Following "Room. Grid," which featured her journalist father as the protagonist, the author now turns her attention to her editor mother. This is a brief report on the working environment of media professionals in the 1980s and 1990s.
