Antique French Brass-Toned Carriage Brooch Pin B1899

A rare carriage brooch, purchased in France. The entire design is lifelike. The material is antique brass-toned metal. It is substantial and in very good condition! 5.5 x 3 cm. Additionally, I'd like to share a detail about the safety clasp on the back. This type of clasp is called a Trombone Clasp, and can also be referred to as a Push-pull safety clasp. This design is frequently seen in French and European jewelry. It was widely used in the 1940s, and even vintage Chanel pieces feature this design!
