This is a delicate bracelet strung with ancient quartz, indigo blue beads, grape-hued & deep red white hearts, old Tibetan silver, and Orissa brass.
The ancient quartz was unearthed in Afghanistan and dates back to the Roman era, approximately 1500 years ago.
It features a beautiful multi-faceted cut!
While it bears some scratches and internal crystals, these only add to its profound charm.
(Ancient quartz size: 1cm width, 0.8cm height)
The indigo blue beads are antique beads known as Indopacific beads.
The origins of Indopacific beads are said to date back to the 2nd century BC.
These particular beads are excavated artifacts from Indonesia, dating back an astonishing 1000 years or more to around the 10th century!
The purple and red beads are antique beads called white hearts.
They are named so because their core (heart) is white. These are Venetian beads from around the 19th-20th century.
They come in a mix of grape-like hues and deep reds.
While red white hearts are common, this purple shade is quite rare!
Beside the old Tibetan turquoise, we've placed a larger deep red white heart bead.
The multi-faceted silver beads sandwiching the ancient quartz and indigo blue beads are exceptionally rare old Tibetan silver. These are heirloom pieces from the 18th-19th century, originating from Burma.
They were used by Tibetan women in necklaces and other adornments, showing unique signs of wear and endearing marks.
Their substantial feel and presence are incomparable to modern silver (though some modern pieces are also striking...). These antique beads have seen a significant price increase in recent years.
The anchor-like charm next to the golden beads and indigo blue beads is old Orissa brass. These are old and rare beads from the state of Orissa in India.
The charm near the clasp is also old brass from India.
The charm near the clasp is also old brass from India.
Each Karen silver bead is individually stamped!
It's mind-boggling to think it's all done by hand...
The slightly bent clasp is also Karen silver.
