From the Bagan region of Mandalay, Myanmar. A bronze Bhumisparsha Mudra Buddha, unearthed from within a collapsed pagoda. The age is estimated to be pre-16th century. These small-sized Buddha statues, though unassuming, are quite ancient. Historically, pagodas were often consecrated with 108 statues, hence their considerable number when recovered. The three-dimensional form bears a stylistic resemblance to Tibetan copper and iron deities. Paired with a stainless steel chain, it becomes a wearable amulet. Religious artifacts inherently carry blessings and possess a unique energetic field. It can also be placed at home, in the car, or anywhere as a powerful protective and grounding relic. The statue's exterior remains uncleaned, preserving its appearance as found. Crafted from a bronze alloy. The original earth encrustation is intact.
