Solder will oxidize upon contact with air, and this effect is most pronounced with copper-toned solder, progressing from bright copper > antique copper > deep brown. Therefore, the item will "absolutely" not look identical to the photograph. We cannot control how the dye changes. If you are unable to accept the variations in copper color due to oxidation, please contact the designer to arrange for a black-dyed finish, which exhibits the least change. Recycled vintage glass may have scratches, color spots, or air bubbles resulting from its age and environment. Minor scratches and chipped edges may also occur during the glass grinding process (especially noticeable on clear glass and mirrors), all of which are within the normal range. ▴ Due to the unique nature of glass patterns and colors, each item will not be entirely identical. Please have a thorough understanding and discussion with the designer before ordering. ▴ Solder, whether dyed or not, will develop a patina or darken upon contact with air (this is most significant with copper tones). ▴ Do not use to store food, as even 99% pure solder is not food-grade tin. ▴ Some un-drilled containers can hold water, but this will accelerate the oxidation of the solder, producing abundant white crystals. ▴ To promote environmental sustainability, simple packaging will be used for shipping. ▴ Please record a video of yourself unboxing glass items to protect your rights. All shipping fees are the responsibility of the buyer. Care Instructions: ▴ The surface of the solder will form an oxide layer with prolonged contact with air. This can be gently removed with a toothpick. Everyday cleaning can be done by wiping with a dry cotton cloth. ▴ For advanced care, a thin layer of car wax (soft wax) can be applied to the surface, and once dry, buffed to a shine with a dry cotton cloth.
