A round, plump vase made with Oribe glaze

The white clay has a vivid glaze color and a rough texture typical of pottery. Oribe glaze creates a calm atmosphere with its subdued green color. I combined them to create a plump, round vase. A vase with a slightly wider base that gives a calm impression. The texture and atmosphere created by the combination of the clay and Oribe glaze is sophisticated, evoking a traditional Japanese atmosphere. This is a vase that can be enjoyed in both Japanese and Western-style rooms. I have an electric potter's wheel and a small electric furnace at home, and I do all of the processes by hand, from kneading the clay to shaping, carving, drying, bisque firing, glazing, and final firing. We aim to create vases that have a cute, round design, the simple, calm atmosphere of pottery, and a clean appearance that you can enjoy. Ceramics are naturally absorbent, so we will apply a waterproofing agent to prevent water from getting into the material. We have confirmed that by using this waterproofing agent, no water will seep out for approximately 40 hours, however, there is a possibility that a small amount of evaporated water may come out from the bottom, making the area feel slightly damp. If this bothers you, you may be able to use the product with peace of mind by placing a cloth mat or similar underneath. Using various glazes and clays, I create a wide variety of pottery in different colors and shapes, searching for the best combinations. It is impossible to create two identical pieces, so although they may look similar, each piece is unique. I would be very happy if you could find your favorite.
