These are simple and lovely earrings, created by adhering Mino washi paper to small tiles from Tajimi City, Gifu Prefecture.
Born from a focus on "craftsmanship using local materials," this is the "marble" collection.
✲✲ Seki City's "Scissors" × Mino City's "Washi Paper" × Tajimi City's "Tiles" ✲✲
Characterized by their rounded, "koron" shape with gentle curves, and the irregular patterns of the washi paper.
We named them "marble" because the patterns formed when the washi paper was applied reminded us of marble chocolate.
The size is approximately 1cm in diameter, making them easy for everyday wear.
They are perfect for casual occasions and can also complement smart casual work attire.
The Mino washi paper used is machine-made "rakusui-shi" (water-drop paper).
By showering the paper with water before it's fully formed, fine holes are created by the water pressure, forming a pattern. This is a popular design among washi paper patterns.
Each piece of washi paper is carefully cut into a circle with scissors, then meticulously adhered to a Tajimi tile. After that, it's coated 3-5 times with resin (UV resin).
To further enhance the texture, the surface is then polished before a final coating is applied.
Enjoy the contrast between the smooth texture of the tile peeking through the patterns and the layered fibers of the kozo (mulberry paper) – a delightful interplay of two distinct materials.
Please note that due to the natural variations in how the colors are applied, some pieces will have a deeper hue while others will be lighter.
The deeper colored pieces have a richer color saturation, making them noticeable even from a distance.
Conversely, the lighter colored pieces reveal a subtle, sparkling shimmer from the translucent washi paper when observed closely.
These offer a slightly more mature aesthetic, recommended for those who appreciate a more understated elegance.

《About the Materials》
Mino washi paper (machine-made paper) from Gifu Prefecture is adhered to the tiles.
Mino washi paper is made by carefully bleaching kozo (mulberry paper) fibers, the raw material for washi paper, using abundant water from the clear Nagara River in Gifu.
Mino washi paper is crafted with the blessings of Gifu.

《Precautions》
As each item is handmade, there may be slight variations in size, shape, and color compared to the image.
We appreciate your understanding.
Due to the use of UV resin, the resin may develop a yellowish hue over time. Please enjoy this natural aging process.
While coated with resin for durability and water resistance, applying excessive force may cause cracks or breakage. Please handle with care during use.
Also, please do not soak these items in water for extended periods or leave them wet.
If they become wet, gently wipe away moisture with a tissue or soft cloth and allow them to dry thoroughly.
The earring fittings are made of brass and will change color over time.
Please refrain from purchasing if you have concerns about metal allergies.
When not in use, please clean the metal fittings, store them in a cool, dry place away from high temperatures and humidity, and out of direct sunlight in a well-ventilated area.
