After shaping it into a soft, rounded bowl shape, we added ears to both ends and applied white and light blue glazes. The overlapping areas of the white glaze and light blue glaze flowed during firing, creating a unique pattern. Additionally, because the light blue glaze was applied thinly on the surface, the color of the base material stood out strongly, allowing you to enjoy the earthiness of the clay. The inside of the dish is only glazed with white glaze, so you can enjoy the color of clear soups such as consommé soup. It can be used not only for soups, but also for stews and other simmered dishes, or even for desserts with ice cream and fruit added. Please enjoy it with a variety of dishes. I use a small electric kiln and an electric potter's wheel at home to make my pottery, and all processes, from kneading the clay to shaping, bisque firing, glazing, and final firing, are done by hand. The plump, rounded shape, rough texture, and slight weight give it a ceramic feel. Although we cannot mass-produce them, each one has its own unique expression, allowing you to enjoy the flavor that comes from being made by hand. Using various glazes and clays, I create a wide variety of pottery in different colors and shapes, searching for the best combinations.
