It was acquired from someone who personally sourced it in Tibet. Turquoise is also known as a "Fallen Skystone" and has been revered as a sacred stone in various cultures since ancient times. In Tibet, it has even been used medicinally. It is one of the stones passed down and worn for thousands of years. These turquoise pieces have a three-dimensional quality and a charming character. Their deep, ripe persimmon-like orange hue is captivating! Despite some imperfections, these beads possess a profound depth and character. (Mizoram Carnelian Size: 0.6cm width, 0.7cm diameter) The subdued red beads are antique "white hearts," named for their white core. These Venetian beads date from the 19th to 20th centuries. Their rich red color is achieved through the use of gold, making them rare "gold-red white hearts." Larger beads are used singly, while smaller ones are strung in double strands. These are heirloom pieces from around the 18th-19th centuries, sourced from Burma. They were traditionally used by Chin women in necklaces and exhibit a unique wear and endearing patina. Their substantial feel and presence are incomparable to modern silver (though some modern pieces are also stylish...). These beads are truly rare and quite precious! The golden beads and the anchor-like charm with Mizoram carnelian are made of old Orissa brass, rare antique beads from the state of Orissa, India. The charm on the clasp is antique Indian silver, crafted between the 19th and early 20th centuries. Wearing it frequently will likely bring out a unique luster.
