However, due to variations in bone density and physique, the amount of ash can differ for each pet. • Ashes + Bone Fragments / Full Skeleton: There is limited data for this, making it difficult to accurately estimate the size and length of bone fragments. As the Moonset House urns have limited capacity, it is recommended to confirm the actual volume and dimensions after the pet's passing before deciding on the urn size. Q2: What if I'm unsure about the ash volume? The safest approach is to ask your pet's funeral service provider if they can provide a temporary container. After cremation or aquamation, confirm the weight of the ashes or the dimensions of the bone fragments before selecting a size, and then transfer them to the urn upon receipt. (**Special Reminder: For pets weighing over 20 kg, if they are slender, the ash volume might be greater than expected. In about 10% of cases, slender pets have 'low weight, high ash volume'. In such situations, it is recommended to choose one size larger for safety.**) Q3: What if the ashes or bones don't fit after I receive the urn? • Reason 1: Sometimes, due to the pet being slender, the bone fragments are proportionally heavier, leading to a fit issue. • Reason 2: The moisture-proof bag or desiccant takes up space.
