1973: Born in Fangyuan Township, Changhua County
1988: Studied jade carving in Taipei
1993: Majored in Advertising Design in vocational high school, integrating design concepts into his work
1994: Established his own studio
2000: Awarded "Excellence" in the craft category at the 14th Nan Ying Arts Exhibition for his work "Waiting for the Right Moment."
August: Participated in a group exhibition of jade artworks at the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall.
2001: Invited to showcase live carving at the Hualien International Arts Festival's local creation section.
2002: Awarded "Selected Prize" in the "Dream of Craft" category at the 10th Taiwan Craft Design Competition. January: Participated in a jade exhibition at the Hsinchu County Cultural Affairs Bureau.
May: Featured in a joint exhibition of jade carvings and Luoxi stone 砚 at the Changhua County "Flower and Tree Carnival."
October-December: Invited by the Shinkong Mitsukoshi Cultural Foundation and Hualien Cultural Affairs Bureau for the "Grand View of Stones" exhibition, touring department stores in northern, central, and southern Taiwan.
2003: Invited by the National Taiwan Craft Research Institute to exhibit works such as "Lotus Ecological Charm" at the Presidential Office's "Taitung Local Crafts Exhibition."
2004: March-June: Featured in the "Art Corridor - Xie Zhong-Ren Jade Stone Carving Exhibition" on National Education Radio.
Awarded "Selected Prize" in the "Dream of Craft" category at the 12th Taiwan Craft Design Competition.
October 2004 - January 2005: Solo exhibition at the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall.
2005: Invited by the National Taiwan Museum to exhibit his handcrafted piece "Taiwanese Snacks - Braised Pork Rice."
June-September: Collaborated with the National Museum of the Czech Republic for the "Sherlock Holmes: A Thousand Faces Exhibition."
Established the "Yu Ning Shi" brand and opened a counter in department stores.
Mid-December: Exhibited at the Pacific Sogo Department Store's "Craft Master" exhibition.
2007: Invited to participate in the "Crafts at Zero Distance - Application of Living Crafts" exhibition hosted by the National Taiwan Craft Research Institute at the Executive Yuan Gallery.
2008: His work "Japanese Style 握 Sushi" was selected for the "Taiwan Craft Competition" at the National Taiwan Craft Research Institute.
2012: Awarded "Selected Prize" in the traditional craft category for his work "Half Thought" at the "Taiwan Craft Competition" by the Ministry of Culture and the Research and Development Center of the National Taiwan Craft Research Institute. Awarded "Selected Prize" in the craft category for his work "Tranquil Mountain Water" at the 21st Tainan City "Nan Ying Award."
2013: Invited to exhibit in the "Cross-Strait Jade Carving Masters Exchange Exhibition" at the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, showcasing his work in the Taiwanese Jade Carving Masters zone.
2016: Invited by the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Center to exhibit his works "Japanese Style 握 Sushi," "Handmade Small Mochi," and "Moment of Leap" at the Presidential Office Gallery's "Gathering Around the Stove - Sustainable Craft Exhibition."
2017: His work "Remnant Lotus Spring" received an "Excellence" award at the Taoyuan City Taoyuan Art Exhibition.
2018: Held the solo exhibition "Xie Zhong-Ren Jade Carving 30 Years: Continuation of Culture" at the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall.
2019: January-June: Invited by the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Center to exhibit his work "Auspicious Dragon Offering Blessings" at the Presidential Office Gallery's "Feast · Happiness" exhibition.
2020: Participated in the "Joyful Heart, Shining Art - Taiwan Craft Development Association Boutique Exhibition," held concurrently at the Hsinchu County Government Cultural Affairs Bureau (July 29 - August 16) and the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Center Taipei Contemporary Craft Design Branch (October 6, 2020 - February 28, 2021).
2021: His work "Japanese Style 握 Sushi" was exhibited in the "Creative Regeneration Green Craft" exhibition hosted by the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Center (October-November).
His work "Handmade Small Mochi" was selected for the 2021 Taiwan Craft Competition and toured various locations, including the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Center Taipei Contemporary Craft Design Branch, Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Xinyi Store, and Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Tainan and Taichung stores.
