Liwu ★ Dgiyaq Sapah Utux (Taroko Language) Nestled between the Taroko villages of Dejili, Hèhèx, and Shakadang, Mt. Liwu stands at an elevation of 1274 meters, facing Mt. Xincheng in Hualien's Xincheng Township across the Liwu River. It serves as a natural barrier for eastern Taiwan, is one of the "Three Heroes of Shakadang," and a place of ancestral remembrance for the community. From its summit, one can gaze upon majestic mountains, dramatic cliffs, the vast ocean, and the picturesque beauty of the villages below. The people of Mt.
