Natural oxidation is a normal phenomenon (they will gradually turn into a antique bronze/antique silver color). The color change and rate of oxidation will vary depending on wear and individual body chemistry, which is part of the unique character of bare copper wire jewelry. Red copper wire tends to oxidize faster (turning antique red copper color within days to weeks), while brass and silver oxidize more slowly. ❖ Wire that has undergone a tarnishing (antique) treatment will have a more stable color tone compared to untreated wire.
