The organic texture of cloth and skin is a recurring theme in Hannah's work. She prefers to use gouache on raw canvas when painting, but has recently also experimented with woolen weaving and working with other textiles, choosing natural materials such as wool, cotton and linen. “I am someone who is fascinated by materials and loves the flow and elegance of fabrics,” she says, continuing: “In addition to architectural functionalism, I am also inspired by the Scandinavian textile movement around the 60s. In the city, she became an artist and worked day in and day out in a small studio and workshop she shared with friends. However, much of the initial inspiration for her work was formed during her daily walks. “When I go for a walk, I sketch out images in my head. Afterwards, I often make a mood board and keep it next to my work – this helps me establish an atmosphere that can guide me into my creative process.” Working as an artist, the lines between personal life and professional inspiration become blurred. "It's natural, but sometimes it needs to be handled with care - especially when taking work home. I think it's important to wrap things up in a timely manner so that you can keep moving forward towards your dreams." To relax, Hannah enjoys yoga and spending a lot of time outdoors in nature when the sun is out. "My latest interest is an old but lovely sailboat, and this summer I plan to learn how to sail it."
