Commonly seen in Japan around springtime, its leaves subtly resemble heart shapes upon closer inspection. The sight of "pen pen grass" in lush, green fields during the warm spring season brings a sense of joy. It has long been a cherished aspiration to translate this scenery into a design. The name "pen pen grass" originates from a childhood game in Japan where rubbing the plant between the palms of one's hands creates a "pen pen" sound. Many of us recall the playful sounds made during our youth. The fabric is dyed with indigo using a traditional Indian resist-dyeing technique called "dabu printing," where a mud-like substance is applied to prevent dye from reaching certain areas. This wrap dress can be styled as a dress or worn open as a graceful robe, tied at the front. It features pockets on both sides. The wrap design and the gathering at the waist beautifully accentuate feminine charm. For those around 156cm in height, the hem falls below the calf.
