Each piece is born from a unique concept and design, imbued with life through the process of pure hand-building or wheel throwing. Every item is one-of-a-kind. What is the wood-firing process?** American clay, Japanese clay, and Miaoli clay are mixed in various proportions. The creation process involves pure hand-building (not on a potter's wheel) where forms are gradually shaped. After initial shaping, the body lines are refined, then polished to complete the greenware. Once placed in the kiln, the wood-firing process using natural longan and acacia wood lasts for five days and four nights continuously. Temperatures reach over 1200 degrees Celsius. During this time, natural ash deposits adhere to the pieces, forming a unique ash glaze. Simultaneously, the fire patterns within the kiln dance across the works, creating beautiful orange-red or blue-purple flame marks. After five days and four nights of ash and fire patterns intertwining, a week of cooling is required before each piece achieves its beautiful form! What should our esteemed guests be aware of?** Product colors may vary slightly due to photography lighting. As each piece is purely handmade, it will bear the marks of the crafting process. Minor variations may occur during the firing process, such as slight unevenness in the rim or minor production marks; these are normal phenomena and do not affect usability.
