Avoid vigorous scrubbing. 2. Do not use detergents containing color bleach, bleach, or optical brighteners. 3. For stubborn stains, dilute a neutral detergent and wash gently. 4. Do not tumble dry or expose to direct sunlight after washing. Dry in a cool, shaded area. 5. During the first few washes, the release of yellow plant pigments is normal; these are impurities from the indigo plant. Simply rinse with fresh water. 6. If storing for an extended period, wrap the item in a dark/black, opaque bag and keep it in a wardrobe. This helps maintain color stability and prevents localized fading along creases.
