Celine vintage macadam shell Bag-brown mini (⁎⁍̴̛ᴗ⁍̴̛⁎), 100% authentic pre-owned! If you have any questions, please message before placing an order. All sales are final. When it comes to monogram patterns, LV is the most widely recognized, but the CELINE monogram actually predates LV's! CELINE's monogram dates back to the 1870s. It was discontinued for a long time and was only revived in recent years with the arrival of a new creative director. However, who came first in the fashion world isn't really that important. Look at how LV, despite being a later entrant, has dominated the monogram scene for so many years. Although CELINE's monogram is considered a senior, it has only recently gained widespread recognition after its revival in recent years... In essence, every brand has its own monogram pattern, much like their logo. It all comes down to which one you prefer. Before its revival, the Celine monogram was a breath of fresh air in the pre-owned market, with its classic pattern, diverse bag styles, and affordable prices. Sadly, that era is past. Once the new designs were reissued, the prices of virtually all monogram bags began to steadily increase, with some styles bearing a strong resemblance to the new releases seeing prices skyrocket. Many people who had never bought pre-owned items before were drawn into the vintage world because of the monogram. A comparison reveals why "new is not as good as old." I believe Celine's monogram perfectly embodies the saying "new is not as good as old." The difference in the exquisite detail of the pattern alone is striking. The monogram pattern on the revived new designs is enlarged, but the edges are noticeably blurred (perhaps by design!?). With the old monogram, you wouldn't see such blurry edges even under a magnifying glass. Of course, this is also due to the different eras and design requirements. In recent years, the design trend for brand patterns has leaned towards enlargement, emphasizing the logo or brand name. Celine is now part of the LV group, so the new designs we see have a unified, group-like feel. There's a popular saying that everyone who buys pre-owned bags must have a Celine in their collection because their vintage styles are so numerous and less likely to be duplicated. (Personally, I feel new designs simply can't compete with vintage pieces due to significant differences in craftsmanship and material quality. You can easily find complaints online about the poor quality of new items from major brands...) This small shell bag, after the mini Boston, inexplicably captured my heart. The shell shape itself is a classic retro style. It's not just Celine; you can find this bag shape from brands like LV and Gucci, from ancient times to the present! Celine offers the shell bag in many sizes, but the most charming is undoubtedly the mini size at 20cm, which can be easily carried by both tall and petite individuals! The mini size is both cute and practical! Its capacity is sufficient for basic essentials and more, so it's definitely not a "small useless bag." It can hold a phone (even a large one), a medium-short wallet, keys, a cardholder, wet and dry tissues, and hand sanitizer, with room to spare. For everyday use or for those who are a bit rough with their belongings, a monogram bag is a great choice because it's truly convenient. The color and monogram pattern can be paired with any season! In winter, pairing it with a long sweater or coat creates a cute visual contrast in size. In spring and summer, it's casual and convenient with a tank top and jeans or a dress! I think the most attractive way to carry it is by hand; its small size is very cute. It's lightweight, so you can carry it all day without feeling burdened. It's perfect for shopping, dining, and taking stylish photos! This bag is very popular among Korean influencers and is incredibly versatile! I kept one for myself! . . . ⚐⚑˒˒ The bag is in beautiful condition, rated as excellent, and is the best one I've sold to date – extremely, extremely new and clean! According to Japanese records, it was a pre-owned item used only a few times by its previous owner, with minimal signs of wear. It's truly rare to find one this new! The surface coating is clean and intact, with no scratches or scuffs on the monogram pattern, and even the bottom shows no wear. The vegetable-tanned leather base and handle areas have naturally aged to a beautiful, warm honey-wax color. The charm of vegetable-tanned leather lies in this hue. Incidentally, many newly reissued retro bags are deliberately dyed to this honey-wax brown color using chemicals. However, there's a significant difference. This color is actually the result of natural aging over time, not direct dyeing! It truly comes from the passage of time and wear! You can feel the warmth in naturally aged brown leather, and upon close inspection, you'll see a consistent variation in depth. It will continue to change as you use it. Even if you and a friend own the same bag shape, the subtle color tones will be unique to you, making it one-of-a-kind. Dyed brown leather is entirely different; that brown is directly applied and doesn't evolve with age. Therefore, modern retro leather bags do not change color with use or over time; whoever buys and uses them will have the same brown. Apologies, back to the topic. The bottom, edges, and corners of the bag show no peeling or obvious signs of use, and the leather has its own natural sheen. It's common for this style to have stains or darkening on the bottom or handles, but this one is completely free of any. It's a beautiful honey-wax color. The stitching on the handle is firm, and the leather parts of the entire bag show no discoloration, water stains, or dirt! It's truly super clean! The zipper on the bag opening shows minimal signs of use, operates smoothly, and the zipper pull is made of leather with the CELINE logo embossed deeply! The interior lining is extremely clean, with no visible signs of wear, no peeling, or sticking. It has the brand's leather tag inside. It comes with the original shoulder strap, which has some minor storage marks but is in beautiful condition! The bag itself has a rich, natural leather scent – like walking into a leather goods store, a pleasant natural leather aroma (which I personally love, as it's a sign of natural leather and excellent condition!). Overall, the condition is excellent, with minimal signs of wear and no obvious flaws. It's the cleanest and newest I've ever seen for this style! The price is higher mainly because the condition is truly exceptional, suitable for a collector's item! It comes with the original dust bag. ❍ The photos were taken by me in natural light, and the lighting may vary depending on the time of day, so color differences are possible. I have more detailed photos and modeling shots, but I can't upload them here. Please message me to request them! Due to the unique nature of pre-owned orders, we do not accept returns or exchanges, so please examine the photos carefully before placing your order. ⋄┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈⋄⋄⋄┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈⋄ | Rating | Rank SA | Dimensions | 18 x 21x8cm (measured without contents) | Color | Brown | Material | Leather ⋄┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈⋄⋄⋄┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈⋄ The main reason I love pre-owned bags is that the materials from older eras are far superior to those in modern new items. In the past, most pre-owned items were✦ handmade, with the warmth of craftsmanship rather than mass production by machines. Artisans' skills were definitely more delicate than machines, just as everyone appreciates products made by hand by skilled artisans! However, today, the vast majority of processes are done by machines with minimal human assembly, losing the delicacy of the past. I think the simplest and most direct way to see this is to compare the new monogram designs reissued by various brands in recent years with the authentic old-era monograms. The level of detail in the monogram pattern alone is completely different. If you love monograms, you should look for pre-owned items! Truly! In terms of style, older eras were more ✦ simple, timeless, and enduring. Many new designs today are actually reproductions of older styles. However, new designs are priced higher than old ones. New designs are usually based on old styles with added details or design modifications. The final product always ends up being more complex (or strange......) than the older models. I believe as you grow older, you understand one thing: the simpler, the more enduring! As you age, you'll even return to basic clothing styles because the more basic, the more versatile. The quality of materials in older items is also better than in new ones. Anyone who understands ✦ leather can tell that the materials in new items are mostly inferior to older ones. The main reason is that the cost of high-quality materials is too high now, and their availability is less than before. Earth's resources are dwindling! Furthermore, brands back then were not as "ubiquitous" with stores everywhere as they are now... The target customers generally had a certain income level and had certain expectations for the finished products. There was no "fast fashion culture" back then; a bag was expected to be used for many years. The difference between new and old eras is clearly visible in the ✦ hardware. Many new hardware components oxidize and discolor after one or two years of use, but old models usually don't. Besides the high-quality materials and meticulous craftsmanship, hardware from earlier eras was plated with real K gold! It's worth mentioning that Chanel Vintage is expensive for a reason; many of its clasps and chains contain real gold, certified by gold merchants! So, even vintage bags from as early as the 60s and 70s, if properly preserved, can still shine brightly today. As for new models available now, to my knowledge, none of the hardware contains K gold, so they generally oxidize easily. Many people say that buying vintage bags is a form of alternative investment because they rarely depreciate and only increase in value. This is because the number of pre-owned bags in good condition on the market is decreasing. Every one of them is out of production, and there are only as many in existence as there are, so they will only become fewer, more expensive, and harder to find. Moreover, many brands increase their prices periodically, and each increase drives up the market price of pre-owned items. Or, if a brand releases a "reissue," the vintage reference or similar styles will see a direct price increase! Adding to this, in recent years, Korean and Japanese celebrities have favored vintage items. Once a celebrity uses a certain style, its price skyrockets, truly skyrockets. Because during that period, many people will frantically search for that style or a similar alternative, and the prices of those few styles will increase exponentially... So, vintage is truly "buy early, enjoy longer; buy late, pay more" (this is not an advertisement slogan... it's the truth in the pre-owned world...). This is my personal experience; I regret not getting into many series earlier... I can't find them, and even if I do, they come with a sky-high price tag... But the problem is, even if you know it's a sky-high price, you're forced to pay it because waiting for the next one will only be more expensive (unless the condition is poor). I often get asked about bag maintenance (ᐢ.ˬ.ᐢ). I will attach a small note inside the bag with details, so don't worry. My personal habit is to take them out for maintenance when I organize my closet during seasonal changes (so each seasonal change is a big project...|||). Actually, pre-owned bags aren't that troublesome. When you're new to it, you just need to get used to regular maintenance and cherishing the bag. Once it becomes a habit, it's not difficult. The materials of pre-owned bags are inherently excellent. As long as you don't use them roughly and preserve them properly, they can last for another ten years and be passed down to your daughter without any problem! Every pre-owned bag is one I collected because I love it, so I hope you will love it too and be able to preserve it for a long time ☪︎ *.。 ☾︎.*·̩͙ If you are interested in purchasing, please message me for details. Feel free to ask anything. Pre-owned items are sought for those who understand and appreciate them ⸜❤︎⸝. ⚜️ All copyrights and trademarks belong to the brand of this product ⚜️
