【About Color Change】
Due to the properties of chromium inclusions, alexandrite appears blue-green in sunlight or under light sources without heat (like fluorescent or LED lights), and displays red reflections under nighttime illumination (from heat-emitting sources such as incandescent bulbs, lamps, or candles).
Even with LEDs, a reaction can be observed with warmer tones.
The stones in this batch exhibit a characteristic where red light flickers from within a blue-green base.
The photos showing red light were taken while illuminating the stone with a standard incandescent bulb.
Furthermore, even at night, it appears greenish under LEDs or fluorescent lights.
It also occasionally reflects red light under direct sunlight during the day.

■ Alexandrite: Birthstone for June
Alexandrite, discovered in 1830, is counted among the world's four major gemstones. It is a variety of chrysoberyl.
Initially mistaken for emerald upon its discovery, its unique ability to change color—appearing blue-green under daylight and red under incandescent light—gained attention, and it is now considered one of the world's rarest gemstones. While Russian alexandrite is famous, it is said to be nearly depleted, with prices reflecting this scarcity. (The stones in this batch are not from Russia, but we have omitted the origin to keep costs down by avoiding individual gemological reports for each stone.) Currently, deposits are found in Sri Lanka, Brazil, Russia, India, Tanzania, and Madagascar.
