It features a straight rim, a long neck, a rounded belly, and a ring foot. In the imperial palace, such vases with slightly elongated necks were known as "veritable vermilion vases." The exterior is entirely coated in cobalt blue glaze, with decorations rendered in gold and silver. The rim and shoulder are adorned with a band of scrollwork, while the neck and body feature scrolling lotus flowers. The base edge and ring foot are decorated with lotus petals and scrolling foliage, respectively. Gold trim outlines the rim and the base. The clay is thin and pure white, with white glaze applied to the interior and base, which bears a six-character seal script mark reading "Made in the Qianlong Reign of the Great Qing" in three lines.
