Green Island Island Chronicle: Iceland
Departed on September 1, 2015, with Iceland as the primary destination,
traveled through ten countries in three months.
It was the first long-distance journey of my life.
This chronicle recounts everything felt during the eleven-day trip in Iceland that year. All those feelings about distant lands, about literature, about beauty.
Independently produced and published by Green Island.

**Postscript 2018/10**
In September 2015, while traveling in Iceland, I didn't intend to write about the trip; at the time, I simply yearned for distant lands.
Before Green Island, the period I most loved writing was in junior high school. I wrote a pile of poems and short stories with unclear meanings, which are still kept in a blue multi-pocket folder. Back then, I could clearly say, "My dream is to be a writer!" How naive, how sweet. But later, on countless divergent paths of youth, I gradually diverged from my former self. First came Wretch, then Facebook, where I wrote sentimental verses like a young girl lamenting her fate. I don't want to look at those words now because they feel insincere.
After Iceland, I traveled for another two months before returning home. Upon my return, I felt I had to write.
There's always a moment, a certain point in time when a switch in life is mysteriously flipped. Your senses heighten, and you begin to understand beauty. That feeling transcends everything; the urge to write something, to create something, was incredibly strong then, stronger than ever before.
To this day, this island means more to me than just being a stunning travel destination; it represents a starting point that has led me here, joyfully writing about this vast world, acting on impulse, and following my own path.
The Island Chronicle is now in its third installment. The Iceland Chronicle, as the first one, is the most unrefined but most representative of myself.
Come, join me on that one and only train, arriving at the end of Green Island as night falls.
Let's go together.

About the Island Chronicle:
**Why is it called "Island Chronicle"?**
**Which island does the "Island" in "Island Chronicle" refer to?**
The island in Island Chronicle refers to "Green Island."
And Green Island is the personification of all my life's journeys.
"Your life is an island in the sea,
Each island has its own scenery.
I wish my island to be a green island."
Life is composed of fragments of various encounters; life itself is a long journey.
If each person's life is an island, then no two islands are the same.
Therefore, I wish my island to be a "Green Island" full of vitality and abundant greenery.
And "Island Chronicle," as the name suggests, is a chronicle recording "Green Island." Thus, I will write down and publish my feelings and experiences from my journeys under the name Island Chronicle.
