There is a world of difference between gold-filled (GF) and gold-plated (GP). Gold plating fades easily, while gold-filled pieces are sometimes even worn while showering. We only use qualified products that adhere to the international standard of 1/20 14K GF craftsmanship. This means that under high temperature and pressure, 14K gold comprising 1/20 of the total weight is forged onto brass. Compared to typical gold plating, which is merely a thin layer of gold, gold-filled pieces have a gold layer over a thousand times thicker!
