Vintage Dutch 40 liter milk urn handpainted in Hindeloopen style

Vintage Dutch 40 liter milk urn handpainted in Hindeloopen style. The famous Hindeloopen painting style dates its origin back to the Frysian village of Hindeloopen in the 17th century. This style is recognized by its intricate flower patterns. This urn has various dents and some surface marks due to usage. There is quite a bit of oxidation inside this urn. The paint shows wear where the lid fits inside the urn as well as underneath the handle of the lid. This lid does not fit snugly and only sits on top loosely or it can be hung on one of the handles.
