Artwork Dimensions: Height 91cm, Width 65cm, Depth 2cm (30P) This piece originates from my imagination of childhood memories and wishes. The candy tree in the painting symbolizes fantasy and sweetness, with each swirl of vibrant color representing a purehearted wish. The little girl's eyes gleam with hearts, a sentiment of longing to be understood and cherished; her outstretched hands seem to embrace the world and welcome the flight of dreams. In the background, bird silhouettes symbolize protection and blessings, alongside three hand-holding children representing companionship and support throughout the journey of growing up. A rainbow arcs above, connecting childhood laughter with future aspirations, reminding us that no matter our age, we can still hold a sky of wishes in our hearts. Through this painting, I hope to invite each viewer to find their own candy tree and remember the little self who once closed their eyes and made a wish. Lee Chia-ju (CHIAJU): For me, art is a force that transcends language and culture, a way of expressing the soul, and it helps me understand myself and the world more profoundly. In my creative process, I enjoy gently patting the canvas, as if soothing the inner child, while simultaneously feeling the vitality within the artwork. This interaction is beautiful and deep. I pursue works that transcend the limits of reality, hoping to bring viewers more dreams and passion, and to reveal the profound connection between nature and humanity.
