<A unique beauty that brings you happiness>
The materials for this work are kimono fabrics with auspicious patterns, carefully selected from thousands of pieces stored in traditional chests. Each piece is meticulously handcrafted with the wish for the happiness of the person who holds it.
<A Japanese Gift>
We utilize kimono fabrics stored in traditional chests, adhering to the saying of elderly women in Watari Town, Miyagi Prefecture: "Do not discard cloth that can wrap three grains of azuki beans." We create products that give form to the beauty and loveliness residing in small pieces of fabric. These are also well-received as gifts to accompany small tokens of appreciation or greetings.
<An item that adds radiance to your presence>
This hair accessory blends seamlessly not only with kimonos and yukatas but also with any attire. It allows the wearer to express their individuality. Beyond being a retro-modern hair accessory, it can also be used as an armband or a book band. It's convenient to have one in your bag.
<A symbol of happiness: Auspicious Patterns>
Auspicious patterns, considered good omens and symbols of happiness, offer a glimpse into the profound depths of Japanese culture passed down through generations.
<Camellia Pattern> "Longevity," "Business Prosperity"
Camellias were believed to possess the power to ward off evil spirits and were indispensable for Shinto and Buddhist rituals, considered particularly sacred among evergreen trees.
<Dot Pattern> "Prosperity of Descendants," "Success and Advancement," "Wealth and Prosperity"
From dots to lines, from lines to surfaces, and then to three dimensions. Everything can be considered to begin with a dot. This pattern evokes the image of things developing for the better.
<The joy of viewing, the pleasure of collecting>
Kimono fabrics adorned with auspicious patterns that delight the eyes bring an image of happiness just by looking at them. By collecting your favorite pieces, you can enjoy creating your own personal gallery.

<Let's contribute to clothing upcycling together>
At WATALIS, we have collected and remade over 12 tons of old kimono fabrics.
By purchasing our products, kimono fabrics that have been sleeping in traditional chests across the country find a new purpose. We are grateful for our customers who expand the cycle of upcycling with us.
We introduce our regional resource upcycling initiatives in a video.

<Notes on Purchase>
*As all items are handmade, please understand that each piece is unique, with slight variations in size, shape, and pattern.
*In rare cases, if we obtain high-quality kimono fabric, we may produce multiple items from the same fabric. Please note that the pattern placement may differ slightly from the photo due to the cutting position of the fabric.
*Please understand that the color and texture may appear different from the actual product on your screen. If you have any concerns, please contact us or refrain from purchasing.
*As the kimono fabrics used as materials are often used and may not have labels, their exact composition is frequently unknown. We thoroughly inspect and process the fabrics, including washing, before remaking them. Please handle with care, as some fabrics may fade or shrink when wet.
*As we also sell on other sites, please forgive us in case of a sell-out.
