1996 marked the 100th anniversary of the Olympic Games, held in Atlanta, USA. The theme song, "Return to Innocence," was created by the German group Enigma. The song's vibrant vocals captured global attention, originating from the "Pangcah Choir" led by Difang Duana (also known as Kuo Ying-nan) from Taitung, Taiwan. However, Mr. Kuo Ying-nan was unaware of this at the time, his voice inexplicably becoming the Olympic theme song. After the Olympics, Mr. Kuo and Enigma engaged in a three-year international lawsuit, eventually reaching a settlement. It turned out that in 1988, Mr. Kuo Ying-nan was invited by the "Maison des Cultures du Monde" in Paris to record an Amis traditional song, "The Old Man's Drinking Song." The recording received acclaim from local newspapers and became the original sound for "Return to Innocence" years later.
