Polygonum tinctorium, an annual herb of the Polygonaceae family, is primarily used for dyeing, giving indigo dyeing its name. Indigo dyeing is a form of plant dyeing. Through multiple immersions and unpredictable processes, it creates fascinating color gradients and textures. Different herbs yield different colors, imbuing fabrics with pure, soft hues and a gentle herbal fragrance. Upon the first wash, there may be slight fading, but this is akin to colors softened by time, possessing a natural, tranquil, lived-in quality. **> Care Instructions** 1 Traditional plant-dyed items have undergone water washing and color fixing. Due to the handmade dyeing process, color variations and unevenness are inherent, and each product will differ slightly. Please be aware! 2 Plant-dyed items are resistant to dirt and sweat. If soiled, local cleaning is recommended. Wash with cold water, do not soak, and avoid vigorous wringing. Do not expose to direct sunlight; hang to dry in a cool, ventilated area. 3 You can wear it for daily activities and light exercise without removing it. However, as cotton fabric takes time to dry when wet, which can affect its lifespan, we advise against wearing it while bathing. **The purer the indigo dye, the less effective its chemical color-fixing agents, leading to significant limitations in colorfastness. However, this fading after use, beautifully termed "luò sè" (falling color), is an indispensable part of its charm. Without this gradual fading, indigo dyeing would lose its unique allure.**
