|Product Introduction| The old building of the National Museum of Taiwan Literature, originally the "Tainan Prefectural Hall," was designed by Matsunosuke Moriyama and completed in 1916 during the Japanese colonial era. After surviving World War II bombings, serving as the Air Force Service Command, and later the Tainan City Government, it was restored and repurposed as a museum of literature in 2003. An old building, a new life, embodying our love for this land, we sincerely face the vicissitudes of history and actively cultivate cultural vitality. This brick-built Western historical-style building is characterized by its uniform exterior and symmetrical design. The focal point of the facade is a heavy hipped roof, clad with scale-shaped copper plates (patina green) and slate tiles. The lower level features red brick walls, with a one-meter-high cement plinth resembling stone at the base. Flanking the facade are two symmetrical turrets. The tallest central section of the building houses the main entrance, featuring a Tuscan columned portico.
