Double Strand Necklace with Vintage Aurora Czech Beads, Gooseberries, and French Vintage Beads

This is a double strand necklace crafted with vintage aurora Czech beads, gooseberry beads, French vintage beads, and Karen silver. The vintage Czech beads feature a multifaceted design with a subtle, aurora-like shimmer on their surface. This luminescence catches the light across all facets. Unlike modern pieces where the aurora effect can be quite pronounced, the vintage versions possess a much softer glow, sometimes appearing almost clear at first glance. While these beads are in relatively good condition, some may show minor scratches or slight wear on the aurora coating. Smaller beads are also featured near the neckline. (Aurora bead size: 0.75cm height x 0.75cm width - for the larger ones) The striped beads are known as "gooseberries," originating from antique Venetian beads (19th-20th century). They are named for their resemblance to the fruit of the currant bush. As these are deadstock items, they exhibit minimal scratches and are in excellent condition. They have a delicate pink hue. Their lustrous finish is utterly charming! Smaller gooseberry beads with clear stripes are also included. The small beads in shades of purple, pink opal, and wisteria blue are French vintage beads, offering a subtle depth of color. The clasp and spacer beads are made of Karen silver. ◇ Karen Silver ◇ This silver is crafted by the hill tribes of Thailand and Burma. Each piece is handmade, and the silver is said to have a very high purity. The floral-shaped beads are also silver. This necklace gently adorns the neckline with its soft colors.
