When we wear crystals, we resonate with their energy, making __regular crystal purification very important__. It is recommended to establish a habit of purifying crystals regularly, for example, on the 1st of each month or during the full moon (the 15th of the lunar calendar). There are many ways to purify crystals, with detailed explanations available in books and online. While soaking in saltwater is a commonly mentioned method, some crystals and metals are delicate and can be damaged by salt or water, so Joyce personally does not recommend this method. If you have Clear Quartz or Amethyst chips, or a geode or cluster, you can place your crystals directly inside or on top of them when not wearing them. Of course, the chips, geodes, or clusters used for purification also need to be purified regularly, such as by sunbathing or moonbathing. Joyce finds __smudging to be the most effective method__! You can light palo santo, dried cedar leaves, dried sage leaves, or incense, and __use the smoke for purification__.
