After 1900, coffee gradually became a drink that the average person could also afford. Many people enjoy coffee at mealtimes, and Mrs. Melitta is one of them. But poorly maintained filter cloth bags, bitter coffee flavors and annoying coffee grounds, deeply troubled Mrs. Melitta. The ceramic filters and metal filters used at the time could not solve these problems due to technical issues. So Mrs. Melitta made a hole in the brass cup herself, and then used her son's ink-absorbing workbook to make the world's first single-hole filter cup and coffee filter paper! After applying for a patent in 1908, Mrs. Melitta also founded the company, which still deeply influences coffee culture to this day.
