Brand Story A pair of sisters, both vegetable-tanned leather designers and handcrafted leather instructors, founded and manage "Shekinah Handmade Leather." In 2013, captivated by the art of leathercraft, we established "Shekinah Handmade Leather." Our boutique found its home on Xining South Road in Wanhua, embarking on an adventurous journey written in leather. Driven by a strong commitment to using only "vegetable-tanned leather," we fell in love with its ability to age beautifully and organically record the owner's daily life. We continuously develop new products, from common items like bags and wallets to unique animal accessory series, breaking the conventional framework of leather design and prioritizing personalized aesthetics. Founders: Janine & Jan Ying Janine, who appreciates the texture of leather, continued her handcrafted leather creations after graduating from the Department of Craftsmanship at National Taiwan University of Arts. Her sister became interested, and Janine taught her the craft. While entrepreneurship wasn't initially planned, her younger sister, with a business background, gradually discovered sales channels through markets and decided to dedicate herself fully.
