The Sakura (Japanese cherry blossom) series is a subtle mix of gold and silver. With a base of high purity silver and plated with 23K Gold, the gold has been partially scraped away to reveal the silver underneath. This delicate and intricate finish gives this sought-after design its unique beauty. This popular Japanese cherry blossom pendant head is made up of SIX blossom flowers, with the sixth freely able to swing with movement. The chain is 45cm. Material of pendant: 23K Gold Vermeil (23K Gold Plated Britannia Silver 958) Material of chain: Gold filled -- also known as "rolled gold" or "rolled gold plate" is composed of a solid layer of gold bonded with heat and pressure to a base metal of brass. Our gold-filled chains have the same appearance as 14 karat (58%) gold. This pendant is crafted with a base of Britannia Silver 958, a high purity silver which retains its bright color (unlike sterling silver which tarnishes easily). It is plated with a thick coating of 23K Gold (Vermeil). The gold has been taken away in parts to reveal the Silver base. We provide a zip lock bag in which we recommend to store your piece/s to shut out the air. This will help to keep them bright for a long time. Our handmade vermeil production process takes approximately 2-4 weeks. 23K Gold Vermeil: Our Gold pieces are crafted with a thick coating (approximately 3 microns) of 23k Gold over a base of high purity Britannia Silver 958. 23k Gold Vermeil is a higher quality and more durable plating than industry-standard gold plating. 23k Gold Vermeil does need a little care and attention to keep it looking great. Always remove your 23k Gold Vermeil jewelry when applying fragrance, and avoid wearing pieces when bathing. At the end of each day, please wipe your jewelry with a soft cloth and store your pieces in the provided ziplock bag.
