Each sheet of Kozo-dyed paper is meticulously hand-molded by at least six artisans, using natural plant fibers and extracts for immersion dyeing, followed by five intricate steps to complete the process. The inner pages are crafted from Xuan paper, ideal for penmanship, with no superfluous lines or designs, allowing your thoughts to flow and be recorded without constraint. The unique texture of the Kozo fiber will develop distinct marks based on your usage habits; this notebook not only records your journey but also remembers it with you. How can you compete with machines when making it sheet by sheet?" we asked. The master craftsman paused, his hands still immersed in the paper pulp vat, turned, and smiled, his hands still dusted with a bit of pulp.
