This place that has accompanied me from birth, through growth, schooling, employment... to this very day, a place I can't seem to leave. An opportune moment sparked the beginning, to paint and speak of Tainan with brushstrokes and emotion. I present this with a feeling of deep reverence, as if afraid to mar this land, its profound cultural essence does not allow me to paint carelessly. Though I have visited every corner, and not just once, when it truly comes time to paint, I must revisit, this time, with even greater care. Once painted, I share it with you! **Black-faced Spoonbill** - Every year, from autumn to winter, a group of rare bird friends, much like **The Solaceful Bird**, arrive from Northeast Asia, spending the winter in the Tsengwen River estuary wetlands of Tainan.
