Material Description: The 14k gold-filled material predominantly used in the mixandfun design studio is created by plating a layer of 1/20 14k gold onto a brass base. This is a popular choice in recent years, known for being relatively easy to care for, maintaining its color for a longer period, and being more accessible in price compared to solid 14k gold. Solid 14k gold, on the other hand, is entirely 14k gold, both inside and out, with a gold content of approximately 58.5%. The remaining components are typically silver, iron, or copper. Given Taiwan's climate, solid 14k gold is even easier to maintain and offers a more refined color. It's also a consideration for those with sensitive skin. Custom alloy is another material frequently used. mixandfun carefully selects preferred unplated chains and applies a special plating process, ensuring the color remains durable under normal wear conditions. Wearing Precautions: 1. Always put on your accessories after dressing and remove them before changing into loungewear. It is not recommended to wear them while bathing, in hot springs, or swimming. 2. For earrings, it is advised to use the provided silicone stoppers to minimize the chance of loss. 3. Taiwan's climate is hot and humid. If accessories are not worn for an extended period, gently wipe them with a soft cloth before storing them in a sealed bag. 4. For delicate chains, make it a habit to fasten the clasp when removing them to reduce tangling. 5. Both 14k gold-filled, solid 14k gold, and custom alloy pieces will show signs of wear over time. Please understand this is a natural part of their use. 6. A little care tip: If you notice oxidation on your jewelry one day, don't panic. You can fill a bowl with some water, add a pinch of salt, and a small piece of aluminum foil. Submerge your solid gold or sterling silver jewelry for about 10 minutes, then remove and polish.
